My print ‘Pas Kap’ tells the story about how signs that are shown to us when there is a death on our island.

When shown it’s usually means are close family member which I represent in the shape of a person in the belly of the shark.

The sign ‘Pas Kap’ is when the shark would jump out of the water and spin in the air.

Our grandfathers, fathers and uncles would tell us stories of this type of signs that would always be seen when their were out on the sea working on the lugger boats.

The ‘Pas Kap’ sign is real and is one of many signs that still happens to our people today which I’ve also witnessed and experienced for myself
