Our monsoon season is called Kukiyaw Thonar. Squids gather in creeks to feed on small fishes. Many time I’ve fished for squid along the northern beaches of Badu Island. The squid are beautiful to watch as they become transparent as a means to disguise themselves from predators in the mangroves. Jymahl Savage 2022
