This piece represents my experience in life. It was a warm sunny morning.

My uncle, brother and I went out into the crayfishing to the hunting grounds we use.

We came across this enormous bommie (coral formation) which me and my uncle started to dive at to see if there were any Kaiar (Crayfish) to spear.

We speared all the Kaiar we could see. I dived back down and saw a huge Kuikupadaaw Wuthi (Coral trout) . I speared it.

As I bought it up, my heart was beating fast. I was just about to get it into the boat and it flipped off my spear.

I dived back down to see that my uncle (and one of my work colleagues) already had speared it... and claimed it for his own..My uncle said "I didn't wait - I saw that fish and it was a good one - so I went for it fast".
