This new lino print of mine called “Dhangalal Umatamaik” (killing dugongs) is based on the ghostnets that are floating everywhere around Our Torres Strait waters The ghostnets is are biggest pest and nuisance which is a treath to Our People who travel the Torres Strait waters by dhingies both at day and night The Australian Government needs to Pay Attention and do more about this waste from the commercial boats which as been dumped in Our Torres Strait waters for so many years The Ghostnets is the biggest killers of all marine life and killing one of our main Traditional Food the dugong which play a big part in Our Cultural Practices The ghostnet is KILLING DUGONGS NOW and the Australian Government needs to pay more attention Joseph Au 2025
