Details
Cray fishing is one of the first jobs that boys from the island get.  Every quarter moon its good for cray fishing. The water is clear for a week and we all head out as it’s the best time to generate income for the family. These days we use our GPS’ to help us track the cray, logging our location and saving it for next time. Before we got GPS’ we used to rely on landmarks – points on the hills or shore – to make sure we could come back to where the crays were.  Now, when we are all working more than one job to support our families, we need to be able to get in and out quick, onto the next thing.
