TOM ABEL BAIRA

Tom Baira is new to the art industry, he has taken a huge interest in Print Making having attended only one Mono printing workshop in 2022 at the local Badu Art Centre.

Tom has created some beautiful prints and he is excited to try new skills in Lino Printing, Etching and Reduction prints. His works are based on oral story telling passed down from generation to generation.

Tom comes from a long line of story tellers, song composers and traditional dance instructors.

We are excited to see what Tom will create in the near future.

Artist Statement

"Only traditional form off art that was of interest to me was Traditional Dancing, I did not know I could express my culture through form of print making and I am excited to tell my ancestral stories in these mediums."
